Brio is an original iOS game built from the ground up as a personal creative project, covering concept, design, and development. Designed for both iPhone and Apple TV, it launched on the App Store and climbed into the top 25, competing alongside titles from studios with significantly larger teams and marketing budgets.
The game centers on a deceptively simple mechanic: guide a ball through a geometric landscape of mountains and obstacles using precise timing and touch. Beneath that simplicity sits a custom physics engine tuned for responsiveness across two very different input models, tap on iPhone and remote-click on Apple TV, ensuring the gameplay felt equally tight on both platforms without any compromise.
The visual identity draws from a minimal, geometric design language: layered mountain silhouettes, a muted palette of slate, teal, and burnt orange, and UI elements that feel native to the world rather than bolted on top of it. Every screen, from the title card to the score display, was designed as part of a single cohesive experience. The art direction was intentional: stand apart from the hyper-saturated visual noise that dominates casual gaming.
Brio shipped with Game Center leaderboard integration, a multiplayer mode, and an ad-free purchase option. It was a complete product from day one, not a minimum viable prototype. Reaching the App Store top 25 validated both the game design and the principle that a single developer with the right craft and tools can compete at scale.
