Performance was non-negotiable. Weather is time-critical information, and viewers expect instant access to forecasts, severe weather alerts, and live coverage the moment they launch the app. We optimized startup times, reduced memory consumption on lower-powered TV chipsets, and implemented efficient video buffering strategies that keep the live stream stable even on congested home networks.
